"Despite the separation of borders and boundaries we are of one people descended from the King of Liberation and the Ten Elites. An invasion of the barbarous tribes to the East is a threat to all of Fódlan and we are stronger together than we ever could be apart." -- An excerpt from a letter written by Empress Ileosa II of the Adrestian Empire to Duke Riegan of The Leicester Alliance.
Welcome to the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach
The embers of The Crescent Moon War have cooled in the decades since the last pockets of rebellion in side of the Leicester Alliance and the Kingdom of Faerghus have been quelled. The Old Adrestian Empire even came to the aid of the Alliance to beat back an invasion from the East.
For the first time in centuries it seems that a sustained peace might be possible between the people of Fódlan and with that comes an opportunity for cooperation.
In central Fódlan, nestled among the highest peaks of the Oghma lies one of the oldest institutions in the known world: Garreg Mach Monastery. It is the seat of power for the Archbishop of the Church of Seiros and the main unifying factor between the Adrestian Empire, Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Leicester Alliance.
The Archbishop of the Church has worked in conjunction for the past several months with several of the large Houses that dot Fódlan to create an elite military academy on neutral territory to help train the land’s future leaders. Because the costs are split between the coffers of multiple Houses in all three nations there is a sense of joint ownership.
You are to part of the first class ever to attend the newly completed Officers Academy. You were sent here because you come from the strongest, holiest of bloodlines. Maybe you were born crestless, but excel with sword, lance, reason, or faith despite that. Maybe you the bastard of a head of an important territory with no claim to inheritance until you were the only child born in that generation gifted with the divine blood of the goddess. Or maybe you’re the younger sibling of the heir apparent, sent away due to your troubling beliefs or behavior.
Whatever your reason for attending the Officers Academy may be, you’ve a chance to make a real mark on history by proving that just because the three nations are independent doesn’t mean they’re alone.
Game Basis: The world is based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, set 203 years before the events of the game.
Focus: Role Playing Mostly
System: Fate Accelerated
Anything else to know about characters: Humans only for player characters, I don’t even think any of the animal/shifter people exist in Fódlan. Characters can be as young as 14 and as old as 25, I would ask that if you play someone under age keep it appropriate. Also, due to the time period this game takes place in there won't actually be three distinct houses, students from all three nations will be working together. That makes sense in universe as this is very early on and it is an attempt to foster trust and cooperation (also it makes the game run more smoothly mechanically). Some other things are a little different than they are in 1180 when Three Houses takes place, find more information in the History of Fódlan thread.

A Brand New Fódlan
It is Imperial Year 977, with the Crescent Moon War that ended with the Leicester Alliance gaining independence from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus seventy-six years in the past and a thwarted Almyran invasion sixteen years in the past the continent of Fódlan has only just begun to settle into its status as three separate nations with different governing bodies and principals. Though there has been trade and travel between the Alliance, the Kingdom and the Empire, peace has been tense.
And for many of the Lords across the continent the Almyran invasion in 961, the largest of its kind up to this point, served as a wake up call. The prosperity of every man, woman, and child between The Throat in the East and The Teeth in the West is in danger due to centuries of bad blood and broken alliances. Lady Persephone von Nuvelle, the current Archbishop of the Church of Seiros, has devised a way to foster cooperation between the nations: a joint military training school where the heirs of the elite houses can develop a rapport and learn to be the kind of leaders who can protect Fódlan from threats foreign, domestic, and of natural occurrence.
You are one of the students attending the first year of the newly formed Officer's Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery in what is being called a risky experiment by some. Whether the academy succeeds or not and the future of Fódlan rests on you.

Now, a few things.
This game is to be played using Fate Accelerated which can be found here. I will speak more on what we're doing with the system in the character creation thread. The long and short of it is FATE Accelerated is a kind of grab and go system that's easily learned and will allow us flexibility to tell the kind of story that we want to tell.
Things to consider if you've played Three Houses...
- Not everyone else has. With the time period and the lack of connection to anyone from the game due to that it should be easy to avoid this.
- We're not adhering to a version of what happens in the game's timeline after the start of this game, so don't feel the need to stifle your creativity.
- At this point some Houses that don't exist in Three Houses still do and some that do exist don't yet. The prime examples are House Nuevelle, which is alive and strong in the Empire and House Galatea, which is Ingrid's House that will split off from House Daphnel in the coming decades.
- No one will start the game with their House's Relic Weapon, in fact some of the students might never have seen theirs and the students who belong to Houses without a Crest might have never seen one at all
- For the most part, everyone will be of noble birth or at least have one noble parent. It is possible to be born a peasant with a distant Crest ancestry, though. It is also possible to be someone who did a great deed for a lord or is adopted and was sent to the academy and sponsored by said lord or parent.
